What does GBS-Paradise cover?
The platforms intend is to preserve knowledge around the topic of creating games with GB Studio, all the related topics around the creation of assets, creative processes, and so on. And don't forget to checkout GB Studio Central for the coolest updates around the GB Studio ecosystem, recent developments, published games, features, and other curated articles.


Why create a dedicated place for GB Studio related topics outside of Discord?
Well, first of all: linear communication like in Discord, Slask, Mattermost, you name it is not made to preserve knowledge - linear communication streams do not manifest any knowledge management abilities.
Like: you see the same questions each day in such communication streams, it is very hard to find content you desperately want to find.
A forum can solve most of those issues by providing a clear set of topics and rules - so anybody can place their topic in the right stream and communication around that topic is threaded - unlike communications in Discord - which also helps identify if a topic needs attention or may be solved already.


Should this forum replace the Discord Channel?
No! Clearly no. Discord has its advantages: you can have vivid discussions around a certain topic, engage in chit-chat, and get in touch with people without any boundaries. Discord is a perfect community chat system - but it cannot preserve knowledge gathered by the community well. That's what this forum is for.
Another good example to use the Discord is, when you want to discuss issues with GB Studio in general - as this forum is not related to the development of GB Studio itself it is highly recommended to reach out to the devs right in Discord.


Is GBS-Paradise free to use?
Yes! An Account on GBS-Paradise.com is free of charge and will always be!


How can I become a Moderator of GBS-Paradise?
If you want to become a Moderator of the whole community or just a certain subforum please rech out to me via DM.


Who owns GBS-Paradise, and who pays for maintenance costs?
Legal Owner of GBS-Paradise.com and given Platform is - Patric Lee ATROTT - known as Herr Leise.
Currently all cost a compensated by Herr Leise in favour of the community.
Current monthly cost to maintain the Community are: 12€/mon.


Where is the Service hosted?
The GBS-Paradise Platform is hosted in Germany, and operated by Xobor.de, maintenance and content responsible are the users, moderators, and admins of GBS-Paradise.
